Wellness Visits

Regular wellness exams are an important part of keeping your pet healthy and happy. Our experienced veterinarians conduct thorough physical examinations with each wellness checkup to develop a health profile for your pet. This will help detect early signs of illnesses that may not be visible at home and address other health concerns before they get worse.

Vaccinations

Pets are vulnerable to viruses and other germs they can catch from other animals or just from going outside. Many of these diseases can make pets very sick and some, such as rabies, can be deadly. Pet vaccines in Little Rock safely allow your pet to develop natural immunity to these illnesses.

Protect your furry friend from harmful parasites

Dogs are naturally curious explorers, venturing into the great outdoors and socializing with other pets. While curiosity is great, it also increases their risk of contracting harmful parasites like fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites like heartworm disease, round worms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms, just to name a few.

With dogs’ active lifestyles, relying on other treatments leaves gaps in their protection. To protect your pet’s well-being, ask your veterinarian about giving your pet a broad spectrum of coverage.

Dr. Bob Hale

DVM, OWNER

I grew up in the wonderful southern town of El Dorado, Arkansas. As a young child my parents let me have a variety of pets: raccoons, fox squirrels, flying squirrels, a squirrel monkey, a parrot, a boa constrictor, tarantulas, and of course a few cats and dogs. My desire to work with animals started at a very early age, thanks to my parents.

When I graduated from high school in 1970, I was unsure of what I could do and moved toward a business degree. I graduated from University of Arkansas in 1976 and went to work for Roadway Express Trucklines for two years. The next three years, I worked in Brazil, South America for a shipping company called Offshore Logistics. It was during this time I reflected on my real “calling” in life– to work with dogs and cats.

I returned to the University of Arkansas to “repeat” my sciences for two years, applied to LSU Veterinary School, and graduated in 1987 as a doctor of veterinary medicine.

At the present time, I have a wife, four children, five dogs, two cats, and one parrot. Everyday I wake up and think about my veterinary mission and how fortunate I am working with wonderful pet lovers, great employees, and doing what I was intended to do.

NOTE: Dr Bob sees patients at Briarwood Animal Hospital Monday thru Wednesday.

Dr. Irene Toll-Schacter

DVM

Favorite Starbucks Drink: Chai Latte

What Dog Breed Would You Be: Corgi

Dr. Irene Toll-Schacter has been with us since the spring of 2022. She has an undergrad degree in Animal Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine also from the same school. Originally from Northwest Arkansas, Dr. Irene moved to Little Rock, originally working at Pinnacle Valley Animal Hospital and Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists.

Dr. Irene has a husband named Tanner, who is a programmer for USAA and a 3 year old daughter named Avi, who is professionally adorable! She has two cats, one named Tesseract (Tess) and Kai, and a pitbull mix named Sheba.

Her favorite memory of Vet School was going to South Africa to work with a game preserve veterinarian and do field work with lions, cape buffalo, zebras and rhinos, but even more interesting than that-she has actually taken a helicopter ride to the top of Mount Doom, has ridden in a U-haul with a bear and has been cage diving with great white sharks. Dr. Irene’s favorite animals are big cats and small insectivores, like hedgehogs, anteaters, porcupines, etc. You can definitely count on her to see just about any animal you have!
